Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience creating content for a technical audience (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course materials, and/or IT admin playbooks).

Experience with SQL, SQL scripting, and C++.

Experience working with technologies (e.g., software or hardware systems) through investigation and experimentation (e.g., reading or running code).

Preferred qualifications:
3 years of experience with source code in two or more languages.

3 years of experience writing for a developer audience.

Experience researching and writing effective documentation for engineers.

Experience working with database products, using SQL, and writing content for an audience of software developers.

Ability to work with software developers to deliver high-quality technical documentation.

Excellent communication skills.

As a Technical Writer, you will work with development teams in a cross-functional, distributed environment. You will work effectively with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and Program Managers.

Responsibilities

Act as the educational outreach and collaborate with subject matter experts from the team/partners.

Create instructional modules and educational resources (e.g., codelabs and guides for developers) as part of educational efforts.

Define documentation requirements with diverse teams, and work with engineers to create/update documentation sets.

Edit, clarify, and enhance documents written by engineers and others by writing code sample queries and scripts.

Help others improve their writing skills through consultations and regular office hours.
