About the job
Google’s Geo product area has the mission to assist people everywhere as they navigate, explore, and get things done in the real world. Delve is a part of Geo’s sustainability initiative dedicated to building solutions for sustainable choices and action. Delve’s mission is to radically improve quality of life for all through holistic, quantitative, and transparent urban design. We are building an urban design platform empowering urban development teams to design better, healthier, happier, and more sustainable cities and communities. We have built a model of these core components that includes buildings, open spaces, amenities, streets, and energy infrastructure. We are bridging the urbanist-technologist divide by combining expertise in machine learning, optimization, and cloud computation, with a nuanced understanding of why and how the design of a city’s physical form matters.
The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
