Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
Spearhead development, construction and documentation of motion-capture systems including sensors, lighting, capture devices, and structures
Drive sub-system level requirements for new motion-capture systems
Translate prototypes into production level systems components, working alongside researchers to ensure that the requirements for the capture system are clearly laid out
Rapid build and test of prototypes which integrate electrical, mechanical and software components
Collaborate with researchers and other engineers across multiple disciplines to discuss, develop and optimize designs for systems
Support research and exploration of new sensors and sub-systems to deliver the next generation of capture systems
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or like field of study
Experience in working with cross-functional teams
Experience with software development, including but not limited to C, C++, or Python
Experience building sensing systems which include cameras, depth sensors, IMUs, microphones, etc.
Familiarity of computer and networking architectures, server development and deployment
Knowledge of electrical test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, DMM/DVM, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience
Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware or software including design, integration, and test
Knowledge of electronics theory, circuit design, troubleshooting, and repair
Familiarity with peripherals such as I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, MIPI
Experience in systems engineering processes, system architecture principles, and/or systems integration into development program life cycle activities, experience taking a system from concept to deployment
