Responsibilities
The Senior Data Scientist uses mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions. The Senior Data Scientist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
Develops and validates statistical, machine learning, and AI models, and presentations to deliver business insights to business partners.
Researches and evaluates innovative analytical approaches, methodologies, and solutions.
Interprets and communicates analytics results to analytical and non-analytical business partners.
Collaborates with analytics and data teams to set objectives, approaches, and work plans.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods and those in the project team, sometimes in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
Compiles and presents regular and ad-hoc project status reports.
Follows established guidelines and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, and/or related quantitative field
3+ years of experience in Data Science/Advanced Analytics
Demonstrated experience in working on analytical problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial using Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL, R, etc.
Experience developing and tuning statistical, machine learning, and AI models including Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, Clustering, Regression Analysis, dimensionality reduction techniques, etc.
Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions
Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
Experience interpreting and communicating analytics results to analytical and non-analytic business partners
Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making on moderately complex to complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks
Ability to works under minimal supervision, using independent judgment
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in the health care industry
Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline, such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or related quantitative field
Experience in NLP
Experience in deep learning and/or reinforcement learning, time series, etc.
Experience in Big data environments like Databricks
Experience in cloud-based ecosystems like Azure or AWS
