Position Description:
Microsoft Federal Operations is looking for an Operations Program Manager. You will own and manage the partner onboarding capability process end-to-end for our US Federal Business, including multiple partner types supporting various Microsoft products and services. You will own the current partner experience as they onboard to our related system infrastructure. You will critically review existing inherited processes / structures and design/implement best practice where appropriate. You will engage with multiple internal stakeholders across many functional areas alongside your peer group of process professionals. You will also engage with partners directly to understand how to make their experience of the process easier and faster.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end process for partner onboarding platforms and agreements, acting as key contact point for our stakeholders across multiple time zones and lines of business. You will be the process Subject Matter Expert (SME), critically reviewing existing processes, systems and engagement points with a view to transforming to an enhanced partner experience.
Build, develop and maintain highly collaborative and effective working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Policy, Operations, and Engineering organizations, as well as other business partners to facilitate proactive planning, effective communication and issue resolution. You will drive new functional requirements, from documentation to UAT and final implementation to production. You will provide effective timely communication on status of all onboarding activities to internal stakeholders.
Accountable for building reporting and KPIs which measures the effectiveness of each sub-stage within the end-to-end process, identifying source data, systems and other inputs to the process. Continuous enhancements will be a core part of this accountability, transforming the process to be world class, balancing value-add with investments required.
Collaborate with our data services teams in understanding standardized partner data mastering and 360 views, ensuring our capabilities are fully aligned with data mastering strategies and requirements.
Lead strategic projects to drive adherence to Microsoft partner compliance requirements aligned with onboarding and offboarding capabilities.
Review new business opportunities, engage with key stakeholders, identify execution requirements and capture a working plan of record for process integration, driving change control, managing issues and escalation, triage, cross group coordination and milestone management.
You will engage with several partners and Partner Development Managers on their onboarding experience, understanding challenges and what would make their experience simple when onboarding. You will gather feedback, assess for feasibility and look to implement. Building continuous regular engagement points to revalidate your new processes are achieving desired results.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of demonstrated Process Excellence Experience
5+ years of demonstrated Program Management experience (including resource planning, fiscal budgeting, risk/mitigation, roadmap/capability development and execution)
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Management, or a related field (or related discipline) or equivalent professional work experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
United States Government contractor experience is a plus
3-5 years consulting industry experience
5 years minimum demonstrated Global Program Management or Project Management experience, preferably in an Operations environment
Experience working with large volumes of data and making data driven decisions
Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels
Proven impact and influence skills – ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations
Exceptional written, verbal and creative communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, create overall communication plans
Strong end-to-end thinking with process orientation; ability to develop enterprise-wide solutions
Strong analytical skills and experience with performance improvement methodologies
Lead and facilitate meetings / workshops involving cross-functional teams of all seniority levels
Fearlessly challenge the status quo and influence leaders to decision outside one’s reporting lines and in a matrix environment
Recommend solutions that are robust yet flexible and are built for continual improvement
