Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce or as a category, channel, or operations manager
- 3 years of experience in project and partner management while managing cross-functional projects
- Experience managing technical/organizational operational issues in the retail network
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with analytics, quantitative modeling, and/or data visualization
- Experience managing retail metrics and reporting
- Experience managing logistics and/or supply chains for retail or consumer products
- Experience with SQL queries, scripts, and/or advanced spreadsheets
- Experience in gift card operations
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish and English fluently

As part of Google Play, the Retail and Payments Activation team plays an important role in business growth by enabling users to use Google Play gift cards. Our team focuses on delivering a physical and digital product at global scale, helping consumers have an easy way to pay for items and content they love, and bringing product to life at retail.
As a Business Operations Manager, you will work on the operational management of our Google Play gift card business. You will help drive initiatives to develop the Americas Google Play gift card business and manage ongoing operations to sustain and scale our operations. In addition, you will act as the point of contact for internal and external partners, spanning Sales, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Suppliers, to maintain product availability and develop programs and products.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations in the Americas region, including demand planning, inventory management, product fulfillment, and unit forecasting.
- Develop and drive project plans across internal and external partners to ensure timely launches for products, markets, and programs. Partner with regional leads to prioritize market initiatives.
- Oversee operations of vendors by gathering retail intelligence data and integrating market data into holistic efforts that sustain product availability.
- Diagnose and resolve supply chain issues across external distribution networks.
- Drive process improvement and transformation projects to simplify operations and enhance business performance.
