As the Group Manager, Logistics finance and cost analytics, you will be responsible for complete management of logistics cost analytics, freight invoice auditing, payments, dispute resolution, and freight audit systems. This role is a key leadership role managing a team of freight audit and financial analysts. In this role you will interface with all levels of management, your key stakeholders being Procurement, operations, planning and finance. This role is responsible for providing crucial insight into Tesla’s freight spend and providing data to identify strategic cost savings opportunities.

Responsibilities
Managing a team of finance professionals and providing direction and ongoing coaching and development
Tracking and monitoring invoice exceptions and disputes
Identifying root cause for disputes and owning the dispute resolution process to ensure timely payments to vendors.
Ensuring active measurement of supplier’s performance by aligning on KPIs– identifying root cause and corrective measures are established to minimize disputes
Establishing KPIs for the freight audit team to ensure goals are aligned and targets are met
Aligning with Logistics Procurement on contracted rate formats to facilitate smooth audits.
Implementing clean, documented financial controls that are both robust and scalable to optimize the freight payment cycle
Supporting the design of processes that streamline daily tasks via API systems integration with carriers
Developing documented training to align processes across the team
Propose solutions to drive process improvement, cost reduction, and ways to mitigate risk
Preparing monthly presentations and reporting to clearly communicating freight spend data and analytics with management
Drive continuous improvement
Manage freight payments system development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field required. Masters degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in Financial Controls, logistics experience a plus, but not required
Prior experience managing a team.
Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Leadership skills including the ability to take charge, coach, interact with all levels of the organization, set objectives, and drive results
Proven track record of delivering results
Clear communicator.
Problem solving mentality in which you can work collaboratively with different functions to develop creative solutions and drive those solutions through implementation
Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills for use in analysis, reporting, and data management.
