Our team is a highly collaborative group of designers, researchers, PMs, and developers. While we work primarily in the mobile space, we reach across teams and platforms to help craft holistic solutions for calling and meetings.
A firm understanding of mobile design principles is a must, as well as attention to detail and clear communication. We value creativity, open idea sharing, and having fun while we work. A friendly attitude and a good sense of humor are a plus! Most of all, we’re motivated by our millions of users. We want them to love our products.
As a product designer on our team, you’ll collaborate with designers, PMs and developers to deliver scenario-driven design solutions for the mobile calling and meeting space. You’ll use an established design language and component library to craft your designs. You should be able to articulate your thinking using wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes. You should be able to justify your design decisions and communicate your rationale in writing. You’ll review your designs with stakeholders and iterate on your designs based on feedback and user insights.
Responsibilities
Product Design

Begins to help identify needs that are not spoken and raises them with senior team members. Supports team in developing a synthesis of user insights and compares with data to identify larger issues that may not be apparent for user desires.
Assists in ideation meetings to improve product designs and generates ideas for a specific, isolated design element. Helps facilitate enrollment for an ideation exercise as part of a design sprint. Checks feasibility and usefulness of ideas with peers and product team representatives.
Prototypes for new products as cheap and as fast as possible under the guidance of senior team members. Strives to make design look and feel like the real product. Helps present to teams (e.g., Design, Engineering) and/or customers to receive feedback and understand user needs. Uses digital and physical tools to demonstrate design to stakeholders and then gauge customer perceptions. Prototypes in accordance with company’s brand and guidelines. Advocates for best-in-class tools.
Collaborates with and answers questions from Engineering to aid in successful design implementation, and performs question-and-answer forums (QAs) to help them ensure “pixel perfect” or detailed designs. Works with developers to iterate further on designs during implementation to ensure optimal designs.
Contributes to visual designs from concept to delivery under the guidance of senior team members. Facilitates the creative visual design process by producing the visual language for a product. Creates a variety of visual design documents including mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, three-dimensional (3D) models, product renderings/visualizations, color and materials design, motion studies, iconography, illustrations, layouts, and redlines for an assigned product, tool, or service.
Creates wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences under the direction of a senior team member. Conceptualizes and delivers artifacts at various levels of fidelity. Participates in the development and enhancement of product user experience via creation of interaction models and detailed designs for new and existing product features. Assists others to help ensure that the designs of the products allow the user to complete the desired functions in the best possible manner.
Design Components
Uses a prescribed design system (e.g., content templates, icons, form design, user-interface [UI] controls, navigation models, design trends). Shares learnings and collaborates with other designers to share education for team improvements.
Communication and Collaboration
Conveys work to peers and managers within immediate team so that the audience understands. Begins to set context for stakeholders. Communicates in a professional and timely fashion.
Works with a senior team member to create a compelling narrative for a specific product or feature and the customer. Explores new and interesting ways of telling stories (e.g., video illustrations, sound).
Assists with fundamental tasks on projects with creative team members, program managers, and developers (e.g., the triad/quad) to define and iterate on new and existing product features. Participates on one study at a time and collaborates, creates, and helps the team deliver product design results.
