Position Description:

This role is for a Launch Manager on the Commercial Partner Portfolio team.
The Commercial Partner Portfolio function sits in the Planning and Launch team within Business Operations and is responsible for the management of launches and projects, ensuring alignment to GTM strategies and priorities and adherence to the corporate launch policy. Each Portfolio has one Planner who plays a breadth role and several Launch Managers who play a depth role. We drive commercial partner Launch for the company and we take landing change seriously, but we have fun doing it!
As a Partner Portfolio Launch Manager you will build strong relationships across key stakeholder groups (business planning, Global Partner Sales, Engineering) to understand strategy how it can be enabled and are responsible managing a portfolio of launches always ensuring clear definition and solid design that ultimately will deliver a great partner experience.
A large part of the role will be working with your business stakeholders and ensuring we are prioritizing the right work to deliver maximum impact and attainment of our Partner strategy at a time where we are fundamentally changing how we go to market with our partners.
This position is responsible for leading across all facets of launch from the creation of project plans to the final execution and ensuring the change lands successfully in market.
Once impacts are assessed and plans are built, this role will lead a launch team leveraging the Operations Delivery Lifecycle (ODLC) to bring these changes to market, tracking risks/issues, and ultimately ensuring excellence in delivery. As a rigorous project manager, you’ll take pride in delivering impactful, on-time initiatives. You detect risks and mitigate them like a super-hero…and, you have a sense of humor!
In addition to ensuring launch readiness execution, this role will be key in supporting the discipline of launch through artifact authoring and management, partnership with the broader launch community to identify and execute process improvements, documentation and roll-out to the broader organization.
You must be able to deal with ambiguity and be able to connect dots in terms of understanding the full ecosystem and how change in one GTM may impact another. With that, you will need a growth mindset with a strong hunger to learn and improve. The path is yours to pave, and again, you love working with Partners, this might be the role for you!

The Launch Manager will have accountabilities including but not limited to the following:
Creates and maintains Portfolio artifacts as defined in all phases of Microsoft Operations delivery lifecycle
Accountable for the delivery of technical and business process design and roadmaps
Accountable for the required criteria and content for portfolio prioritization and approval to manage End to End launches through all stages
Accountable for sign-off of Build to Deploy transition to ensure alignment to portfolio
Ability to manage short, medium, and long-term planning horizons concurrently
Accountable for delivery of ODLC (Operations Delivery Lifecycle) artifacts & stage gate criteria for all stages
Contribute to the movement of approved projects through the ODLC
Provides input on portfolio decision making and prioritization communications as part of the defined Portfolio ROB
Participate and facilitate in cross GTM portfolio discussions.
Participate and facilitate in the Business Portfolio ROB
