About the job
As the Strategic Real Estate Portfolio Planning Manager, you will partner with Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) stakeholders to guide the Strategic Portfolio Planning (SPP) team across the Bay Area region. SPP develops strategic real estate plans that deliver clear solutions to complex real estate needs of Google, globally.
As a leader on the Strategic Portfolio Planning team, you will be responsible for leading the development of Bay Area growth and portfolio strategies to satisfy increasingly complex and expanding business needs. You will use data, insights, and strong problem solving skills to develop and present multiple space scenarios to REWS stakeholders, ensuring we optimize our real estate portfolio. You will forecast and plan scenarios to help develop, drive, and monitor the success of all real estate decisions. You will need to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners, including regional Portfolio and Facilities directors, transactions, finance, HR, and the client-facing Business Partner teams.

Responsibilities
Manage the Bay Area team responsible for forecasting real estate demand and developing strategic real estate plans.
Collaborate with various teams, including Business Partners, Campus Planning, Workplace Design and Delivery, Strategy and Transactions, Facilities Operations, Programs and Services, etc. Cultivate a collaborative, supportive, and productive work environment that fosters both consistent best practices and creative solutions.
Lead and enable all discussions on real estate portfolio planning across the Bay Area, influencing key stakeholders to build alignment. Represent the Bay Area in executive, cross-functional, and global SPP meetings and initiatives.
Advise on portfolio decisions using an understanding of Google commitments with quality, cost, schedule, and flexibility impacts for advising portfolio decisions.
Communicate, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with vendor teams. Drive strategic recommendations with cross-functional partners and leadership through review and approval.
