Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with optical network installation, maintenance, and operations for a network service provider or enterprise networks.
- Experience with TCP/IP network routing protocols and infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Unix/Linux administration and scripting/coding.
- Ability to employ good troubleshooting methodology and use of creative problem solving under pressure.
- Ability to participate in shift work in a network operations center environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors and initiate and complete network repairs.
- Use workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion.
- Participate in 24/7 global team shift rotations.
- Provide remote support for field operations related to network repairs.
- Interface with high-level customers communicating repair status and updates as needed.
