Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking/private equity/venture capital, corporate strategy, sales operations, or equivalent experience in a technology/media company.
- Experience managing relationships and working cross-functionally within global organizations.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or business field.
- Ability to understand and articulate the “big picture” to executive teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
- Distinctive problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, with ability to effectively facilitate complex meetings with executives and partner across multiple functions in an organization.
- Outstanding program management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.
We are looking for a Team Lead to partner with the Global Leader of the Go-to-Market function, running the Chief of Staff office for Google’s Chief Business Officer and their executive leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to set and guide the goals of Global Business Operations broadly, manage the cadence and agenda for executive meetings, prep executive briefings, and lead mission critical strategic projects.
As the Chief of Staff Lead to the Go-to-Market team, you will be responsible for managing the operational cadence for GBO leadership, solve mission critical problems, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of key decisions to ensure the success of GBO. You will also partner closely with other Chief of Staff leads across GBO and Google and cross-functionally with a varied set of stakeholders including Finance, People Operations, Communications and others.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google’s complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
Responsibilities
- Work with Leadership to define and track our Objectives and Key Results and priorities, prepping executive briefings (e.g. Board of Directors presentations), and organizing and prioritizing the agenda for executive weekly meetings and off-sites.
- Partner with our Communications team to provide the business input and draft content.
- Manage priorities and initiatives and program managing efforts on behalf of the VP of Go-To-Market Strategy and Operations, and the Head of Global Business Strategy and Operations team.
- Manage a team that includes the Go-to-Market Chief of Staff Team.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, People Operations, Marketing, and Communications teams to scope, manage and execute strategic projects.
