PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, Color Science, or relevant fields.
Experience with C++ and C.

In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: CMOS image sensors, Auto White Balance algorithm, Auto Exposure, color science.
In-depth knowledge of ISP algorithms.
Solid programming skills in one of the following: MATLAB, Python.

At Google Nest we are building the helpful home that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it. At the Google Nest Image Processing Team, our mission is to strive for the excellent image quality on Google Home cameras, whether they are for surveillance, displays, entertainment, or other applications. We engage in product development cycle from the early stage such as vendor system-on-chip selection, to Image Signal Processor (ISP) performance optimization and final shipment of the cameras. We work closely with many cross-functional teams such as Hardware, Product Management, Platform, etc.
As part of the Google Nest Intelligence Perception Team, we are also looking into opportunities to leverage both traditional imaging and perception features on Google Nest cameras.
As an Image Processing Engineer at Google Nest, you will be able to make very impactful contributions by helping deliver exceptional Image Quality (IQ) on Nest camera products. As part of the Google Nest Intelligence Perception team, you will be able to expose yourself to exciting intelligence features and opportunities for innovations.
The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Responsibilities
Evaluate ISP IQ performance.
Be involved with product IQ tuning.
Develop tools for IQ tuning and evaluation.
Develop productivity tools for test automation.
Develop ISP/3A algorithms.
