Amazon Flex Service Level Standards (SLS) ensures that delivery partners provide high quality service to all Amazon Last Mile delivery businesses. Amazon is now looking to hire an experienced, passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and (most importantly), customer-obsessed Sr. Manager to be a part of this team.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of program management to lead a team who manages a portfolio of SLS programs WW. Internally, this leader will work with functions that cut across the organization, including technology, science, operations and customer service, to drive a great customer experience for our program.
This leader will regularly interact with senior leadership, Flex stakeholders and across the Flex SLS team to drive change and influence prioritization throughout the business, while also identifying process improvement opportunities and mechanisms that support scale.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, highly analytical and detail-oriented, and be comfortable leading a team and working with multiple stakeholders to drive growth and change in a fast paced environment. An extreme bias for action is an absolute must, and candidates must demonstrate a track record for building and leading teams, strategic thinking, and success in all phases of business and team development.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager to help lead and scale the Flex SLS Program. As the Sr. Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Ability to root cause opportunities and extract insights using a data driven approach.
- Support their team members professional development and career growth.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Identify internal and external data sources that will improve program processes.
- Develop metrics and reporting to improve efficiency, identify areas of opportunity.
- Develop measurable benchmarks and reporting to evaluate team direction and progress.
- Work with Business Analytics and Tech team members to articulate and prioritize feature needs program enforcement.
- Work with cross-functional teams across Amazon for collaboration to proactively address quality related initiatives.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships across Amazon.
- Ability to lead by influence rather than authority to build trust across the organization.
- Identify root cause of process gap findings, improve control deficiencies and partner with cross functional teams to design control enhancements (through automation and/or improved processes).
- Assist in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and policies for SLS program processes and ensure policies and procedures are kept current.
- Create, maintain, and disseminate program information confidently and on a regular basis to Amazon senior executives, senior leadership teams, and key stakeholders.
- Lead the team through adversity and rapidly changing operating conditions while successfully driving complex and milestone driven projects.
- Think holistically and strategically to plan, organize, and drive complex and milestone driven projects to ensure end-to-end success for the user.
Master’s degree/MBA in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field
Proficiency with SQL or other query-based language
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability communicate complex ideas in written and verbal communication understood by specialists and non-specialists alike with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders (VP level decision makers)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, including use of look-ups, pivot tables, macros, data simulations, advanced conditional formatting, etc.
Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted programs or projects with the ability to drive projects through completion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58.22/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $108.27/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
