Job summary
Are you interested in joining a team that builds products to help improve the new hire experience? Amazon is seeking an exceptional BI Engineer to join the Associate Learning Experience (ALE) BI team. The person in this position will play a key role in supporting and building products tracking new hires during their on-boarding, proficiency, and transition phases on a global scale.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and collaborative. They will have the ability to translate business requirements into analysis, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations back to the business. The candidate for this role will be required to continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design new studies and build new tools that help our team automate and accelerate analytics.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
On a day to day basis, you will work with our customers to understand business requirements, then build those requirements into a dashboard or report. There will be conditions where you will need to build new data pipelines in ETL or partner with other BI members to iterate a current pipeline to include new data that you are looking for. There are also other aspects that include working with the team to keep a standardized approach to documentation efforts of product mapping and data dictionaries based on new pipelines and tables in our Redshift cluster.
About the team
The ALE team builds cutting edge training content for Amazonian’s. The BI team gets the opportunity to visualize success metrics and provide insights on how we can make it even better! Outside of the on-boarding experience, we also report and track metrics around coaching and transitional phases of Amazonian’s that wish to grow their career within Amazon.
