Experience with Apache Spark/HDFS and Deep Learning frameworks, such as Tensorflow, Keras, or MXNet.
Experience with Cloud ML technologies, preferably SageMaker.

Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Leading, mentoring, and managing a Data Science team with a focus on delivering cutting edge Data Science and ML product innovations to develop our business.
Thinking Big and ideating with your Data Science team, other Data Science teams, and stakeholders to co-create the Data Science vision, strategy and roadmap for Amazon Robotics.
Collaborating with other Science, Tech, Ops, and Business leaders to align on Data Science vision and strategy, translate strategy into operational plans that are aligned with the rest of the organization, and oversee plan execution.
Working with customers and cross-functional stakeholder teams to help your team identify, disambiguate, and define key problems.
Promoting best practices and maintaining agile processes to guide your team on how to prioritize, scope, plan, and lead the execution and transfer of new Data Science/Machine Learning products/features.
Fostering the partnership with engineering and product development teams to productize Data Science and Machine Leaning architectures, models and algorithms.
Guiding your team and the research organization to balance supporting models for existing solutions, while thinking about next generation solutions.
Hiring, developing, mentoring, and growing your Data Science team.
A day in the life
By learning the continuously evolving Amazon Robotic Systems and external trends, and by collaborating with other leaders, you will co-create the vision, strategy, and operational plans of Data Science within AR. You will work with your team to identify business opportunities that can be unlocked with the recent advances in Data Science and Machine Learning. You will lead your team and your key stakeholders to prioritize new initiatives, which are scientifically diverse, including forecasting, optimization, benchmarking, multi-agent coordination, perception, policy learning, data-driven system modeling, etc. You will guide the creation of new value propositions and business cases. You will own the agile process of scoping, planning, prototyping. You will spearhead the technology transfer to internal Amazon Robotics customers. You will report the progress of your team’s innovation to management. You will hire and develop new scientists.
About the team
You will join a scientifically and demographically diverse research/science team. Our multi-disciplinary team includes scientists with backgrounds in planning/scheduling, grasping/manipulation, machine learning, and operations research. We develop novel algorithms and machine learning methods and apply them to real-word robotic warehouses, including:
Planning/coordinating the paths of thousands of – Dynamic task allocation to thousands of robots.
Learning how to manipulate all products sold by Amazon.
Co-design an optimization of robotic logistics processes.
Our team also serves as a hub to foster innovation and support scientists across Amazon Robotics. In addition, we coordinate research engagements with academia
