Job summary
We are seeking a Program Manager to support internal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategic initiatives. Working with Amazon’s Global Delivery Services organization, you will manage programs and processes that raise the bar on how we execute DEI Strategy. We focus on ensuring programs are global by design and support various learning styles and geographies.
The DEI Program Manager will be a results-oriented and resourceful individual who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing themselves as a credible strategic partner. The individual has demonstrated skills in the following areas: program and project management focused on outcomes; data and situational analysis; cross group coordination across all levels of the organization; excellent oral and written communications. Multi-national or global work experience and tech and/or front line based industry experience a plus.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive program objectives through program and project management, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities.
- Scale services and tools by designing processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
- Communicate new/updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees, stakeholder partners, and cross functional organizations.
- Manage strategic, significantly complex and important initiatives that resolve critical and/or endemic challenges. Identify risks/opportunities in strategies and/or org structure(s). Effectively force multiplies.
- Understanding of history and interest in equity, race and ethnicity, gender, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, veterans, and marginalized communities or strong willingness to learn and be curious in this space
- Experience planning events related to diversity and inclusion
- Influential without authority
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify ways to simplify processes
- Resourcefulness and ability to problem solve independently
