Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Front end engineers with knowledge and skills in building highly interactive interfaces using modern JavaScript tooling like React. We want someone who can work well in a heterogeneous environment of different languages and technologies, and can bring flexibility, speed and quality to our team. You should be genuinely excited about technology, have a strong interest in learning about and playing with the latest technologies and building compelling web applications and UI.

A day in the life
We will have a standard cadence of team meetings to get together to share work, but casual spontaneous collaboration is also necessary, often sparked through conversation in our team meetings or other communication channels. You will work directly within a 2 pizza development team, and have significant ownership as you work within and across teams in order to meet deadlines and deliver results.
The position will own the development of front end components for Career Choice’s associate facing and school portal facing experiences. The experiences and products you support directly impacts the lives of our hourly associates through personalized development focused experiences, often enhancing their career trajectory.
About the team
The Consumer Talent Strategy, Management & Development team guides the talent development strategy for the largest workforce within Amazon. Our team develops processes and tools; identifies and develops high-potential talent to fill future needs; and provides lifecycle leadership and functional learning solutions. Our customer, World Wide Operations, is comprised of hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees across multiple global order fulfillment, transportation, corporate, and customer service organizations.
This job may be located at any approved Amazon corporate office in the US.
Experience building scalable front-end infrastructure software or distributed systems.
Experience building reusable UX components or libraries using Salesforce Lightning Web component and Visual force
Understands how to optimize the delivery of code and assets to a browser or device
Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. Knows when (and when not) to use front-end software design pattern.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
Ability to articulate the benefits and challenges of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and tool-sets.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $143K – $194k/yr however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
