The Amazon Display Protocols team is looking for a talented and passionate Software Development Engineer to help change the way people use interactive graphics applications in the Cloud!
We are developing the next generation of interactive cloud streaming technologies and low-latency streaming protocols to provide our customers a secure way to stream any graphics interface from the Cloud. AWS services like Workspaces, AppStream 2.0, Nimble Studio, and many customers worldwide leverage our technology to run interactive applications remotely on EC2 instances and stream their graphics interface to client machines. We enable the delivery of DaaS workloads, complex scientific visualizations, content creation solutions, Cloud game streaming, and much more.
You will be part of a distributed team with members in the US and Italy. This position is for candidates who would like to join our team in the US, in our offices in Seattle or San Francisco Bay Area.
The role provides unique opportunity to build the user interface for large scale systems. You will draw upon exemplary technical architecture, deployment and management skills, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and a passion for providing a top notch customer interface. You should be open to new challenges, extremely good at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, and self-directed and a great team player. You will drive the business, continuous process improvements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions and drive new usage cases. You will interact with a broad cross section of the Amazon organization spanning a wide range of technologies and engaging with external vendors and internal teams.

We are seeking a front end engineer to join our team, leveraging their skills to help build on our technology. You will work with Protocol engineers to deliver features to delight our customers and improve the customer experience. Your work can, at times, span the full stack, so you will have the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the product.

Key job responsibilities
Execute in a multi-OS environment.
Collaborate with engineering teams to drive the product roadmaps.
Address bottlenecks, provide customer input, anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Partner with multiple teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of the solution.

About the team
The Amazon Display Protocols team develops state of the art, low-latency streaming protocols which provide our customers with a secure way to deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device, over varying network conditions.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience developing distributed systems or cloud native applications
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
Experience developing cloud native applications is a plus
