Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a highly versatile, exceptionally organized, and impact-oriented leader to drive operational excellence for a portfolio of learning initiatives that support Amazon’s 66k+ managers worldwide. This leader will build, implement, manage, and continuously improve processes that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our products, programs, and team. The ideal candidate is a customer-obsessed operator who thrives on cutting through ambiguity, untangling complex problems, and collaborating across an interdisciplinary team to build alignment on new approaches to enhance product or program execution.
A day in the life
Define and implement mechanisms to improve team communication, collaboration, and execution; lead continuous process improvement to drive efficiency.
Define and manage customer intake; serve as front-line support for our internal customer, define SOPs to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction, and ensure we consistently meet established SLAs.
Own core and common product implementation mechanisms, including badging, recognition, and certification management;
Closely manage key project milestones; maintain continuously updated project plans, coordinate scheduling of key events with senior business leaders.
Drive mechanisms that reliably surface insights from voice of the customer data; maintain and update program evaluations; advocate for the customer with product and program owners.
Support global customer and stakeholder engagement strategy, including product and roadmap communication, regular program updates, ‘flash’ updates, and monthly business reviews.
Support product continuous improvement strategy, including review of customer data, scoping product enhancements, and coordinating roadmap for product updates with designers and/or product owners.
Contribute to a team culture of innovation (e.g., generating big ideas, solving highly ambiguous problems in ways that exceed customer expectations).

The Global Learning & Development Manager Capability team equips Amazon’s managers with the knowledge and capabilities to create a safer, more productive, higher performing, more diverse, and more just work environment. We provide scalable learning and development experiences, to enable managers to lead with empathy, have fun at work, and make it easy for others to have fun. We do this by supporting each step of a manager’s development journey—onboarding, performing in role, and growth for the next opportunity—with personalized and relevant learning they need to be an inclusive Amazon manager.
Successful track record of building, implementing, and improving operational processes that solve complex problems in fast-paced, highly ambiguous setting.
Demonstrated ownership and consistent delivery on commitments; exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail. Ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written); ability to succinctly present detailed analysis, assumptions, and recommendations.
Proven ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams in global environment without positional authority.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Formal certification with project management, change management, or continuous process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or LEAN.
Proven ability to build, execute, manage, complete, and improve programs and projects simultaneously in global, fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Ability to deliver independently; strong self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment to solve unfamiliar problems.
Effectively lead through ambiguity when business problems or program strategies may not be well-defined.
Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure on multiple projects at the same time.
A problem-solver that increases the speed of delivery by negotiating resources and priorities, and making trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.
Proven analytical capabilities; experience deriving relevant insights, trends, and themes from large amounts of data and developing summary reports for consumption by senior stakeholder.
2+ years of Adult Learning Experience, Leadership Development program management, professional coaching or similar.
The base pay range for this position is $74,200 – $129,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
