The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) organization collectively represents some of the most critical components of Amazon’s first-class transportation network. Everything we do is aimed at further delighting our customers with faster, cheaper and more efficient means of receiving packages. With Amazon Freight, SMB and Enterprise Shippers can tap into Amazon’s world-class middle mile transportation solutions for their own freight needs, whether shipping inbound to Amazon to third-party facilities.
The Sr. Product Marketing Manager will lead all aspects of lifecycle product marketing for Amazon’s external shipping products. This product marketing role will build and own the growth, expansion and retention strategy, spanning multiple shipping products and shipper customer cohorts. They will work cross-functionally with product and customer insights teams to understand each product and customer deeply. They will work with our internal creative team and content marketing team to create end-to-end marketing content and campaigns that elevate the bar for shipper marketing. They will also work with our internal SMB and Enterprise sales teams to ensure a cohesive marketing and sales strategy to drive a cohesive customer experience.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building full lifecycle marketing campaigns. They have a thorough understanding of product marketing strategy and tactics, and have a deep understanding of paid, earned and owned marketing. They have a strength in both thinking big as well as diving deep, using metrics and both 1P/3P data to develop successful product marketing campaigns and results. They will be able to work quickly, deliver flawlessly, manage and deliver campaigns with a high level of creativity, organization, and communication. Successful candidates should be analytical, comfortable thinking big and diving deep, and have a proven track record of end-to-end project ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
This position will work closely with Product Management, UX, Business Intelligence, PR and Engineering teams, as well as partner with stakeholder teams to deliver experiences resonating with customers. You must be an influential leader with a passion for customer experiences and bring analytical rigor to the team. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Exquisite presentation, communication, professionalism and persuasion skills are a must as this role requires the ability to influence, is highly autonomous, and communicates daily with a wide range of teams, including marketers, product managers, engineers, and finance.
This role is preferred to be based in Seattle/Bellevue, Washington; possibly Chicago, Atlanta or Nashville. Open to a US virtual candidate.
Key job responsibilities
Build and own the overarching customer-focused product marketing strategy to increase Amazon Freight’s brand awareness, acquisition, engagement and retention
Manage paid, earned, and owned media strategy for Amazon Freight
Clear understanding of how to build and manage financial modeling to prove marketing spend ROI and shipper lifetime value
Support team to build, execute and deliver results on product marketing strategies and campaigns
Ability to distill complex information in a customer-focused, easy to understand manner
Work with internal teams to identify key opportunities, launches, trends and data, and develop marketing materials relevant for the customer
Earn trust with and influence stakeholders
Create a vision for the short and long-term marketing strategy requirements for scale
Triage requests according to the business needs
6+ years marketing experience
Experience managing complex processes working across cross functional teams
Ability to quantify Return on Investment (ROI) on efforts
Experience leading projects for large scale
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, including experience developing written documents in a professional setting

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $142,800-$193,200/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The pay range for this position in New York City is $157,100-$212,600(hr/yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
