Job summary
Amazon’s Devices Trust & Reputation team seeks a seasoned crisis communications and issues management specialist. The role of PR Specialist is responsible for building, executing, maintaining, organizing and testing crisis communications plans for privacy and security issues. Responsibilities include supporting the Chief Security Officer and Privacy teams across the company in preparing for and responding to issues that threaten Amazon’s reputation. This role presents an opportunity to help define our major communications campaigns strategy for the Privacy and Security organizations, including executive visibility, thought leadership, reputation management and integrated communications.
The right candidate will have a passion for working closely with business teams to find opportunities to protect and strengthen customer trust. This person is an expert communicator, capable of understanding complex technology problems and develop strategies to successfully protecting reputations. The PR Specialist position will build and leverage partnerships across all Amazon business lines, marketing, policy, legal, security teams for public relations. The right candidate is someone who is driven by fixing problems and challenging leaders to be their best.
