The mission of the Amazon Care Risk, Intelligence, Safety, and Security (RISS) team is to mitigate security and safety related operational risks to our patients, clinicians, data, and physical assets. Amazon Care is looking for an individual to lead daily operations within the RISS domain. This individual will triage, escalate, and manage responses to all events impacting or threatening Amazon Care personnel, property, or assets. This includes maintaining situational awareness with a holistic view of Care’s patients, clinicians, assets, and Amazon’s overall brand reputation.

The Execution Manager will take the lead in coordinating responses to workplace incident management (WIM) events in real time and other security or exigent incidents. The EM will provide support of building out processes and policies to support Care field teams. The Care RISS EM will be responsible for ensuring performance SLAs are met, that responses are appropriate according to policies and procedures, and for developing and motivating a highly performant staff.

The EM must also deal effectively with ambiguity and make response related decisions sometimes with incomplete information in the best interest of Amazon and field teams. The RISS team is a 24/7 operation and support work will be required potentially to include nights and weekends on-call.

• Conduct and drive analysis on safety/security incidents and other high visibility events

• Lead internal projects to improve processes, onboard new systems, and mitigate risk
• Foster and develop relationships with individual stakeholders and teams throughout WW Ops to actively exchange information, research ongoing deep dives, and assess opportunities risk mitigation and safety improvement
• Provide subject-matter expertise consultation on a variety of Care risk and safety/security initiatives
• Participate in after-hours on-call escalation support
• Champion these programs and hold team members accountable for progress on key program actions.
• Creation of reporting and metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, and allow for regular updates to senior leadership

About the team

The Risk Intelligence, Safety and Security (RISS) team is doggedly focused on maintaining and constantly improving the safe deployment of clinical health services within the quickly growing Amazon Care organization.

• Possession of any or all of the following certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Member of Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), etc.
• Experience with developing and maintaining metrics
• Strong time management and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail
• Willingness to be active in the training, coaching, and development of their team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to associates and management across diverse global sites
• Project management experience
• Experience in Workplace Incident Management, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity
• Working knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) framework or National Response Framework, and Continuity of Operations procedures
• Experience in MS Office Suite and programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc.
• Typing skills over 35 words per minute
• Experience in using multiple software applications simultaneously (software multi-tasking)
• Track record of creative problem solving, and the desire to create and build new processes

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,200 – 129,800/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
