Sr SDE – Amazon Ads
**NOTE: This position supports a hybrid location model in the US. Customer Trust is primarily based in San Diego, Santa Monica (LA), New York, Arlington (Washington DC), Seattle and the Bay Area. You can also choose a primary office nearest to you in, Chicago, Austin, Boulder, Toronto or Miami as well. For all of these main offices, you have the flexibility to work remotely from that office all but 1-2 weeks per quarter. Required office time is based on purposeful collaboration sessions with team members, booked at least two months in advance.**

Moderation and Relevance within Amazon Ads is responsible for ensuring that ads are relevant and is of good quality, leading to higher conversion for the sellers and providing a great experience for the customers.We deal with one of the world’s largest product catalog, handle billions of requests a day with plans to grow it by order of magnitude and use automated systems to validate tens of millions of Ads submitted by thousands of advertisers in multiple countries and languages.
As a Sr. Software Development Engineer in the Customer Trust Organization, you will build engineering and machine learning systems to detect ads that are not meeting amazon advertising policy. You will also build platform that will be used by the applied science team and the operations teams to quickly experiment with and build new ML models and rules. You will get to use latest distributed systems and big data and Machine learning technologies .
This role will involve architecting, designing and developing software systems that enable many use cases for Amazon Advertising. The individual in this role will have the responsibility help define requirements, create software design, implement code to these specifications, provide thorough unit and integration testing, and support products deployed in production and used by our stakeholders and customers.

Customer Trust team within Amazon Advertising org’s vision is to safeguard customers from defective or trust breaking ads while empowering Advertisers to successfully build policy compliant & performant ads. Our mission is to ensure reliable, consistent and automated enforcement of world-wide ads policies via an extensible and intelligent moderation infrastructure, continuously drive for defect free advertising experience by leveraging customer feedback and invent ways to reduce friction for advertisers in their moderation journey.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
Design and develop highly distributed components of our advertising system.
Work as full stack engineer to architect, design and build product from scratch that should delight advertisers and customers
Apply big data technologies and Work closely with our Applied Scientist and product managers to design experiments with machine learning / deep learning techniques
Brainstorm with Product management and partner teams about new ideas, technical design; make data-driven decisions to inform product prioritization.
Be an early adopter of emerging AWS technologies for AdTech use cases.
Establish the best processes and drive improvements in design, development and operations
Mentor and guide junior engineers on design, coding, troubleshooting and operational excellence
