The Business, Industrial and Scientific Supplies (BISS) organization, a key component of the Amazon Business ecosystem, is looking for a self-driven Vendor Manager (VM) for strategic management of a key product category.
The VM is responsible for managing full category scope, including P&L performance and end-to-end vendor management, which requires development of new strategic vendor relationships, driving negotiations, managing growth levers and ensuring paramount operational and logistical performance. A strong VM also leverages key input metrics to develop B2B and B2C customer insights to develop and deliver a best in class customer experience.
Ideal candidates will ultimately balance VM responsibilities, while also setting and delivering a vision for new programs and high impact projects. VMs must work effectively with their cross-functional counterparts in finance, marketing, operations, sales, compliance and legal. The highest performing VMs are results-oriented, entrepreneurial, can synthesize insights from large data-sets, strategic and, strong leaders.
1-3 years of experience in eCommerce
Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, and product development
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
Proficiency in SQL
