Job summary

We are seeking a Visual UX Designer to work on customer-facing digital experiences in Pharmacy. You will create elegant, intuitive user interfaces, illustrations, and creative direction that meet this unique customer need. You will work closely with other designers, product management, engineering, and other design teams to successfully go from early stage product concepts to launches of new features and experiences. You will extend and support the design system used by Pharmacy and other initiatives in Amazon’s health portfolio.

Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain and extend the Pharmacy Design System
  • Quickly iterate on multiple design explorations to arrive at fun and delightful solutions
  • Work with the design team and our internal stakeholders to develop design concepts, gather information, discuss alternatives, gain approval, and review design specifications
  • Fluency in moving from understanding and interpreting strategy to developing initial concepts.
  • Create and rapidly iterate on ideas using storyboards, prototypes, and higher-fidelity designs to effectively communicate visual strategies and experiences
  • Participate in the discovery and planning of new products and features while helping drive the design vision across our product suite.
  • Work with other UX designers to ensure visual consistency and relentless attention to detail
  • Identify opportunities to think differently about the visual status quo on customer experiences, based on customer research, best practices and design thinking
  • Articulately present design vision, direction and solutions to senior leadership and internal stakeholders

  • Expert skill level with standard design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc.
  • Strong creative thinker with the ability and willingness to pivot approaches as required
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, evaluate, and adopt new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and visualize solutions for emerging concepts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with motion design
  • Experience working in a start-up style environment, where rapid iteration is encouraged
  • Experience designing products for global markets
  • Experience with animatics, art direction, and illustration

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $100,700 -$138,500/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
