Custom Billing Analyst (CBA) are part of the Custom Billing Solutions (CBS) team within AWS Commerce Platform. The main objective of CBS team is to provide AWS customers the contractually obligated discount accurately; provide excellent customer service and bring about overall process improvement.
CBA’s are valuable contributors who support monthly operations of pricing and billing programs to specific portfolio of customers by processing manual charges and discounts. They lead external customer calls to discuss billing and reporting needs. CBA’s take requirements from these calls; create process, suggest improvements and identify risks. They identify potential customer issues, as well as anticipate and prevent problems. CBA’s proactively work with customers and other internal stakeholders that include; Customer Service, Sales, Legal, Finance and Accounting to solve billing and sales revenue reconciliations. They will be managing the timeline and deliverables of projects, focusing on interactions within the team and mentoring others.
Work with AWS customers to address billing issues and gather valuable feedback
Support monthly billing processes between multiple external and internal AWS teams by auditing billing data, providing data management, and pricing calculations
Proactively identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements, and system customization that meet business requirements
Actively seek solutions to business/customer needs and suggest innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience
Support recurring and ad hoc reporting for various internal/external stakeholders
Accounting experience with accruals and receivables – Experience with financial contracts and comfortable with contractual language – Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills – Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of the organization – Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects – Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills – Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
