Job summary
The AWS Documentation team is seeking a data scientist to interpret and improve the signals we receive from the voice-of-the-customer (VOC).

Key job responsibilities
As a Data Scientist in this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts to investigate, interpret, and establish standards for the VOC. In your first year, you will:
Use VOC data and trends to make specific and strategic recommendations about how to improve AWS Documentation
Work with our VOC team to define the requirements for our customer feedback systems so it can be optimally designed for the best results.
Use evidence-based approaches to establish VOC metrics and standards for how to best interpret VOC data
Partner with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to incorporate your findings into our data and reporting infrastructure
Promote those standards across partner teams and the AWS organization
Contribute to all phases of research and experiment design and analysis, including defining research questions, designing experiments, identifying data requirements, conducting statistical or machine learning-based modeling, and communicating insights and recommendations.
Develop and test machine learning models
Continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to analyze big data and enhance our analytics.

Experience working with VOC data
Master’s/PhD degree in or Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
Familiarity with cloud technologies
Solve analytical problems, and effectively communicate models, trends, analysis, anomalies and results
Ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and insights to non-experts
