5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

To achieve this goal, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. We are looking for highly motivated Software Development Engineers (SDE) like you to bring in their ideas and experience to help us reach our goals.

As a software development engineer on this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of product features from beginning to end. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to turn vision into reality. You will work alongside and mentor other talented engineers. You will be responsible for building the best customer experience, keeping latency, security, and usability in mind.

You will dive deep into the details on business, operations and engineering. You must be a technical, detail-oriented leader who can build and grow an engineering organization. You’ll need to excel at hiring and developing strong software development engineers. You’ll also need strong judgment and programming skills. Key job responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack internet-scale web applications on AWS; heavy focus on RESTful APIs, infrastructure as code, and test automation.

Integrate our systems with core Amazon services for e-commerce, identity, and security.

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through high quality software that is extensible, re-usable and easy to maintain.

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
