The Senior Business Development (BD) Manager builds worldwide incentive and adoption programs on behalf of Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers by working with stakeholders across Amazon business units to create stronger customer value propositions. We are looking for a leader to build organizational capabilities and drive strategic change, develop scalable systems, build a diverse and inclusive work culture between AWS and Amazon Business. This role will have to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across Amazon including BD, sales, operations, tax, legal and others. The leader will be responsible for piloting new programs and engagement models in partnership with cross business Program teams and Industry Subject Matter Expert (SME) stakeholders in AWS and Amazon Business. By leveraging existing company-wide practices and bringing in external proven methodologies, this individual will build frameworks to identify gaps in current bespoke initiatives, and establish mechanisms to bring new strategic initiatives that will allow AWS customers to streamline their interactions and achieve new outcomes for their procurement, supply chain, or operating costs. The leader will build trust and confidence with program and business development teams, stakeholders, and influence change across geographies. The person needs to work with senior leaders to create and achieve the team’s vision in alignment with Amazon’s global standards, policies, and procedures in this space.
This role will be required to identify and incorporate best practices into our standards to improve processes continuously. This individual will work with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, all over the globe.
This role will lead a high-performing team to build out capabilities across the following initiatives: 1/ Cross-Amazon Integration Programs to proactively identify integration opportunities between Amazon Business products and AWS, align strategies, and assess policy changes needed for companies that do (or plan to do) significant business. 2/ Programmatic BD Support to streamline our previous programmatic cross-Amazon work serving all AWS customers (600+ yearly). This includes building Technology-driven playbooks, self-service modules and training / awareness for AWS account teams, and create a scalable model to meet the needs of customers without requiring bespoke agreements.
This role can be performed from Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, and other cities may be considered.
