RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and the line-of-business (LOB) to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Design and build technical solutions to meet business needs.

  • Maintain and support applications and ensure stability and service level agreements.

  • Analyze, diagnose, identify and implement fixes for software defects.

  • Develop scalable and efficient applications using technologies including, but not limited to JAVA/J2EE, Spring, Object-Oriented (OO) modelling, JUnit, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SOAP/REST, SQL, Unix/Linux.

  • Develop common and re-usable code and components for the team to leverage.

  • Design software solutions to solve business problems utilizing JAVA and Spring using Object-Oriented (OO) concepts and design patterns.

  • Build a technology platform consisting of application components including full stack web front end applications, web services-based middle-tier systems using SOAP/REST, MQ and Kafka.

  • Use the agile methodology and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and procedures.

  • Use Eclipse, Maven, and CI/CD with tools such as Jenkins/Ansible or uBuild/uDeploy.

  • Integrate, analyze, and report against different backend repositories including relational databases like Oracle, NOSQL repositories such as Cassandra, and big-data repositories like Hadoop.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems; or related; and

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing software solutions to solve business problems utilizing JAVA and Spring using Object-Oriented (OO) concepts and design patterns;

  • Building a technology platform consisting of application components including full stack web front end applications, web services-based middle-tier systems using SOAP/REST, MQ and Kafka;

  • Using the agile methodology and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and procedures;

  • Using Eclipse, Maven, and CI/CD with tools such as Jenkins/Ansible or uBuild/uDeploy; and,
