Job Description & Program Overview

Our Global Corporate Strategy Analyst Program is designed to offer you a structured two year program experience including extensive on the job training, in addition to educational speaker events, coaching and mentorship. Throughout the program, participants will be aligned to one of the following business areas: (1) Global Corporate Strategy, (2) Wealth Management Strategy; (3) Wealth Management Data Analytics & Measurement.

Global Corporate Strategy (New York & Charlotte):

Global Corporate Strategy is responsible for guiding BAC’s overall strategy by driving ongoing dialog with senior management, the Board of Directors, and the Bank’s eight lines of business to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives, equity investments, M&A and other strategic transactions.

As part of the fulltime program, Analysts will be responsible for:

• Working with enterprise function and the lines of business throughout the strategic planning process, and assisting with the development and coordination of the bank’s strategic planning activities
• Analyzing, creating and developing comprehensive company and industry insights
• Working with senior team members to develop and maintain detailed financial analysis including strategic, growth, diversification and financial plans
• Assisting with deliverables for the CEO, Management Team and Board of Directors
• Evaluating new and existing strategic investment opportunities, as well as support investments in Minority Funds/Businesses as part of BofA’s $1.25BN Economic Opportunity and Racial Equality Program

Analysts will gain exposure to senior leaders across the bank with a focus on Bank of America’s strategic priorities. The Analyst will build expertise in financial analysis, modeling and valuation as well as develop acumen in corporate strategy. Additionally, the Analyst will closely follow key industry topics to help keep the team and management informed. Given the relatively small size of the groups within Global Corporate Strategy, the Analyst will have the opportunity to assume diverse responsibilities and work closely with senior members of the team.

Wealth Management Strategy (New York):

The Wealth Management Strategic Initiatives team provides objective, actionable, and trusted strategic recommendations to the Wealth Management leadership team. The team is responsible for the development of business strategies that drive responsible growth and deliver value for shareholders. Its members work directly with Wealth Management executives and business leaders, and often in collaboration with other lines of business, to ensure strategic integration across BAC.

As part of the fulltime program, Analysts will be responsible for:

• Conducting primary and secondary research and competitive analyses (e.g., product, financial performance, market positioning, etc.)
• Performing data analyses to drive insights and inform strategic recommendations (e.g., financial modeling, cost / profitability analysis)
• Synthesizing research / analyses, and developing concise and effective presentations
• Assisting with deliverables for Wealth Management senior leaders and other Management Team Members across the organization

Wealth Management Data Analytics & Measurement (New Jersey):

The Wealth Management Data & Analytics team partners with senior leaders across Wealth Management and the Wealth Management and Corporate Strategy teams to assist with the development of business strategies. The team does so by providing data, analysis and reporting solutions that help design and implement business strategies as well as monitor the progress of initiatives and other key performance metrics.

As part of the fulltime program, Analysts will be responsible for:

• Partner with business leaders and strategy teams to deliver reporting that drives and monitors Wealth Management performance
• Performing data analyses to provide insights and inform strategic recommendations (e.g., analysis of key performance metrics)
• Synthesizing research / analyses, and developing concise and effective presentations
• Assisting with deliverables for Wealth Management senior leaders and other Management Team Members across the organization

Qualifications

• Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation date between December 2022 – June 2023
• 3.4 minimum GPA preferred
• Demonstrated record of achievement, such as extracurricular activities or leadership roles
• Finance knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• The ability to inspire a strong sense of camaraderie
• Able to think independently, work collaboratively and strong time management skills
• Technical skills such as Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are advantageous
