Responsibilities:

The Group’s Accounting & Finance Team is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its Financial Reporting Unit. This Unit provides a wide variety of services to the organization, including preparation of GAAP basis financial statements, financial consolidations, and oversight of income tax matters, including calculation of tax provisions and providing support for tax return preparation. This role will participate in these activities as well as others and is an excellent career-building opportunity for a self-motivated, flexible and energetic team player. In addition to standard accounting and reporting activity, this role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to help develop optimum solutions for business challenges in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate

• Perform multi-level consolidations of the financial results of multiple legal entities in the primary accounting system
• Ensure compliance with and prepare various reports and schedules according to GAAP accounting standards
• Lead and develop a high performing team in support of current & future talent needs within the accounting function
• Manage the income tax function, including coordination with the organization’s tax partners regarding income tax provisions included in the financials and support for the preparation of returns
• Manage the organization’s annual financial planning cycle, including the computation of certain plan values, creating various reports and providing analytics
• Oversee, monitor and work to improve accounting procedures and monthly closing processes
• Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the internal control environment, ensuring on-going compliance with key internal control procedures

Qualifications:

Qualifications the Successful Candidate is Expected to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or business with 10 years of directly related experience
• Experience must include significant participation in the calculation of income tax provisions, both current & deferred
• Advanced knowledge/experience with MS Excel
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards
