Job Opportunity:

The medical stop loss division of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive in the Eastern Region of the US. This role will assist in new sales activities and provide customer support for the BHSI Taft-Hartley and Public Entity Segment by developing strong relationships with customers, prospects, and industry organizations in the region. Ideally, this role would be based out of our Plymouth Meeting, PA, or Boston, MA offices and will be a key player in growing the region for the Taft-Hartley segment for the medical stop loss accident and health division.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong relationships with BHSI Taft-Hartley medical stop loss group customers (third-party administrators and Trustees).
• Develop relationships with target union prospects.
• Partner with regional sales director to assist with new and renewal group opportunities.
• Identify new producers and prospects for referral to regional sales directors.
• Represent BHSI at customer and prospect events in assigned territory.
• Build productive relationships with labor organizations and coalitions in the Eastern Region of the US.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance industry /health care/ancillary benefits.
• Good communicator with the ability to present product and company value proposition.
• Relationships with insurance producers, third-party administrators, or union staff are a plus.
• Must reside in the Eastern Region with access to a BHSI office.
• Ability to travel overnight by car or plane – this role will require up to 50% travel in the assigned territory.
• A passionate professional who supports a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
• All candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States.
