Job Summary:

Performs a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with staff, vendors, and customers and observes confidentiality of customer and firm matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes computerized accounting software programs to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Communicates with vendors about invoice discrepancies and questions
• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Assist in month end closing
• 1099 maintenance
• Respond to all vendor and client inquiries
• Actively track & search for missing invoices/payments and resolve accordingly
• Review and code employee expense reimbursements for proper support and accuracy
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Assists in financial management and analysis, as requested.
• Other office and support duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, related field, or combination of education and accounting experience preferred
• 3 + years of experience in Accounting required
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail orientated
• Concur experience preferred
• DPN experience preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

Working Conditions:

• Fast Paced- High Volume working environment
• No or very limited physical effort required
