Job Summary:
The paralegal will support General Counsel by preparing documents like affidavits and legal correspondence, as well as organizing and maintaining files. In addition, the Paralegal will also be asked to file pleadings with court clerks and help prepare for trials by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Certified paralegal or advanced paralegal designation required. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scheduling is done by triple invite (GC, Paralegal, Clerk). All invites to Outlook and Google calendars
- Americana tri state litigation pleadings
- Americana tri state litigation billing GC litigation time
- Americana tri state litigation/calendaring
- Subpoenas Response
- Bar accounts for e-file, PACER all district courts
- Errors and Omissions, Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, submission claims
- Errors and Omissions, Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, calendaring
- Errors and Omissions, Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, collecting files
- Errors and Omissions, Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, forwarding, communication Corporate
- Real Estate Division Complaints
- Human Resources Liaison – witness for terminations as needed
- Office Manager duties to ensure office is running smoothly, such as:
- Delegation to Office Clerk as necessary
- Cost reimbursement/GC personal monies reimbursements/tracking/reimbursements
- Oversee ordering of office supplies & equipment
- Time Card review and approval
- Special projects as assigned
