Manage a small team supporting the ongoing operations of ICM North American Delivery portfolio focused on consistent, predictable execution: operational consistency of approach between matrix team of Delivery and Technical Pillars (Project Controls, Safety, Quality, Pre-construction), change management of reference design evolutions across the project portfolio, change management of team processes
Manage a small team supporting the project launch phase of projects
Consistent evaluations of completed project phases for identification of improvement opportunities
Support NA Construction Director in setting the strategic vision for the site teams and interface with a wide variety of internal and external teams to achieve cross-program goals
Manage the ongoing operations of diverse program level initiatives benefitting the ICM New Build Delivery portfolio, including supply chain knowledge management. Examples are DE&I Playbooks
Identify, prioritize and execute on strategic initiatives against annual priorities of the company, organization and team layers and ICM’s North Star principles within the ICM New Build Delivery team: partner with internal and external cross functional stakeholders to understand current opportunities for process optimization and create strategy, prioritize based on impact and stakeholder capacity, execute on creation of new processes
Support staff planning across Geographies
Manage onboarding and training content for delivery team
Partner with existing stakeholders to create embedment approaches, managing pilot programs in preconstruction phases as need required to facilitate embedment
Provide construction subject matter expertise within the program
Mentor staff across the topics of planning, resource management, program level risk assessments, etc. to contribute to a high functioning team
Provide regular communications around status of each of the above
Proactively resolve business and operational issues with partners
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including General Contractors, Trade Contractors, Suppliers, Design, Operations, Legal to produce strategic long-term partnerships
Build robust communication channels and cultivate relationships to influence the strategy of partner organizations
Partner broadly with external partners critical to the program’s success to influence their strategy and execution in supporting ICMs mission. Provide structured feedback on their performance and partner to improve and optimize as needed
Occasional travel to datacenter work location and Fremont, CA offices will be expected (approx. 20% travel)
Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications
Promote and model an attitude of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
Minimum of twenty (20) years professional experience in construction and project planning of complex, mission critical projects
Experience with various contract delivery methodologies, legal considerations, IP, and commercial terms
Expertise in data center engineering, design, commissioning and operations and ground up new build site development and construction as well as retrofit work in live environments
Experience multitasking and reprioritize on a frequent basis to support a rapidly growing business model
Communication and presentation skills
Effective negotiation skills and experience providing solutions to complex problems under pressure
Experience in large scale construction management (excess of $500M/yr)
Expertise in design and construction supply chain and processes
LEAN Basics knowledge
Advanced degree in engineering or business administration
Experience in a variety of construction delivery models (design/build, IPD, etc.)
BIM 360 software experience
Experience in Capital Budget Management
