ERAD Manager Responsibilities:
Build high performing team(s) which includes mentoring individual contributors and managers. Facilitate stakeholder and team-level understanding of strategy, vision, and goals. Foster employee development by providing timely feedback, identifying and targeting growth opportunities based on individual interests/strengths as well as providing each team member with a customized support plan to maximize their success. Focus on growing and building a strong, productive, and satisfied team.
Lead operations of global data eradication functions (e.g. incident management, change management, new product introduction, innovative technology implementation, policy) to support field operations at data centers and at the edge network.
Evolve the organization to exceed support requirements of a global organization.
Develop and maintain scalable organization with a well-documented roadmap, goals and objectives.
Lead in creating and managing strategy to take the operations to the next level of industry leadership. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of strategy, goals, and priorities of our stakeholders and partners. Act as a bridge to align various Engineering and Data Center teams towards common vision/goals through collaboration and influence.
Work with peer organizations to develop solutions for storage media chain of custody, sanitization and destruction.
Manage ITAD vendors and other third-party vendors.
Design and implement innovative and robust processes and standards allowing scalability, efficiency and reliability/quality to support Meta Infrastructure and Data Center needs.
Develop and manage to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the services provided by vendors and team(s).
Approximately 10-20% travel required.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years overall industry experience including 5+ years of experience leading data center or technical organizations where high availability is a requirement.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
Experience in advancing strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change.
Understanding of production environments and operational dependencies.
Experience implementing and managing infrastructure programs (think data centers, capacity, networking, hardware, software, or ITAD operations).
Experience working in environments that focus on the Customer. Successful track record in building strategies and solutions to meet Customer needs.
Organization, communication, interpersonal, relationship building experience conducive to collaboration and experience working in a cross-functional, matrix management environment consisting of functions such as data center operations, software engineering, hardware engineering, infrastructure, production engineering and business operations teams.
Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment where you must take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done.
Experience in the building, development, and management of a team.
Experience with managing vendors.
Experience dealing with high levels of ambiguity in performing roles and delivering results.
Experience in developing, implementing and/or running operational process that are used to scale and support global operations.
Experience translating strategic initiatives into roadmaps, defining tooling, processes, operations and driving execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with full hardware lifecycle management, sustainability, storage media chain of custody and/or ITAD related services.
Master’s degree in computer science, Hardware Engineering or related field.
Process improvement experience (e.g. lean, six sigma).
Technical infrastructure management and/or large-scale Data Center experience.
8+ years of experience managing a team of employees, including managing managers.
