Learning Data Developer Responsibilities:
Build and maintain data infrastructure to provide optimal data for various quantitative roles
Strategize and establish plans for data governance to ensure high data quality and timely data provision for analytical work
Use analytical tools to drive demand forecasting, scenario planning, and project prioritization to inform decisions to increase business impact and reduce operations costs. Analyze data, conduct research, and synthesize feedback into plans to resolve database problems. Drive broad adoption and alignment of the team’s initiatives through strong cross-functional collaboration and understanding of the organization’s strategic data infra and analysis needs
Act as the go-to expert to advise and implement designs for data pipelines, data migration, connecting data platforms with a strong acumen about data accuracy and velocity
Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or equivalent training
Proficiency in querying and manipulating complex raw datasets for analysis using SQL and at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
2+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
Professional experience with reporting systems, data pipeline architecture and data modeling
Experience explaining technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to varied audiences and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses
Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL framework
Experience with distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics)
Experience thinking strategically, structurally solving product problems, and driving execution
Experience releasing code into production
Experience writing testable code
