Manager, Technology Policy Creative Content Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Global Affairs strategic adviser and writer to develop speeches, op-eds, and other written materials.
Work cross-functionally with public affairs, communications, product, and adjacent teams to understand key tech policy issues and develop ideas collaboratively for written output.
Partner with policy subject-matter experts to create narratives, messaging and other core communications materials.
Research and prepare background materials for published work – producing and editing drafts, proposals, outlines and related materials that are clear, consistent, and concise.
Assemble input from cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively with a wide range of subject matter experts including product, partnerships, and legal.
Build credibility as a resource to colleagues across the policy and public affairs teams on making messaging clear, accessible and consistent.
Support overall communications strategy and planning processes in partnership with our broader Global Affairs team, including additional projects related to scripts, briefings, backgrounders, and other support materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years working in journalism, public relations, public affairs, political campaigns or in a fast-paced, policy-heavy communications environment.
Proven track record of writing and publishing op-eds or similar written work.
Experience synthesizing complex topics and research into clear, concise summaries.
Experience drafting short and long-form communications and media briefs.
Experience delivering thought leadership through primary and secondary research.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS
Internet industry experience
Experience developing interpersonal relationships with cross-functional and external partners
Strong project and process management skills
Experience working with and across multiple teams
Experience managing and prioritizing a range of tasks under competing timelines
Experience working effectively with people at all levels
Experience acting proactively and shifting priorities quickly
