Facebook App Looking For Product Communications Director, Metaverse at Remote Full Time

We are searching for an experienced leader to join the Reality Labs communications team. This person will lead strategic communications for the Metaverse product org, working closely with leadership to tell the story of the foundational tech we are building to help usher in the next computing platform and make the metaverse a reality.

The ideal candidate is someone who can oversee a range of high-impact communications programs, building and leading a small team of exceptional communications professionals and partnering closely with executives to set strategy. They will be a lead on the team that’s responsible for global communications for Facebook’s AR, VR, and hardware products, including Quest, Portal, and Ray-Ban Stories.

A passion for AR/VR technology and the ability to move fast in fluid situations is key for this role. This individual excels at working collaboratively with high-level executives and colleagues alike, understands the content and creator world, and can consistently deliver high-quality work, even under severe time constraints.

Product Communications Director, Metaverse Responsibilities:
Manage communications strategy across the metaverse product org, working closely with communications colleagues across the Meta to drive the company’s metaverse narrative

Lead team supporting Horizon, Avatar and metaverse platform communications, and the roll out of products across the Meta family of apps

Drive executive communications for the head of metaverse, and other leads, manage speaking engagements, media opportunities and more

Manage proactive and reactive communications around privacy, safety and integrity topics

Work cross functionally to help set and communicate collaboration process across RL, FOA, Policy and other communications teams

Attend leadership meetings to provide counsel on future products and tech

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or a related field

Experience to quickly absorb complex issues, ensure alignment across groups, and lead cross-functional efforts to completion

Experience working with management, including executive and C-suite level

Preferred Qualifications:
15+ years of consumer technology communications experience preferably in content or social platforms

Experience working at a technology company, in multinational forums and/or in an agency format in a similar capacity
