Support the local data center GDCC site Field Engineers (FEs), Project Managers (PMs), and Field Manager in delivery and maintenance of all structured cabling and connectivity.
Assist in tracking and maintaining all work documentation and in coordination with the GDCC team, share within GDCC and to the appropriate external stakeholders.
In coordination with GDCC site FEs, creation and submission of RFIs and redlines.
Responsible for overall status tracking of RFIs to ensure timely response and minimal impact to program delivery. Escalate to the site team as appropriate.
Assist with submission and tracking of any Method of Procedure (MOP/CMOP) paperwork associated with field work description and tracking of approvals for planned work activities.
Responsible for vendor badging and provisioning and auditing.
Working with GDCC cabling partner and GDCC FE, monitor QA/QC BIM360 events, providing regular summary reports to GDCC site team, identifying trends and escalating as appropriate.
Maintain and report out materials tracking, both OFCI & CFCI, for GDCC cabling partner and GDCC site team.
In coordination with site FEs, coordinate with IBOS and the site GC around delivery for OFCI material to be delivered, warehouse storage, laydowns needed on the site, taking into consideration security issues, calendar coordination and other logistics concerns with other pillars on site (FacOps, etc.).
Assure site as-built design documentation is complete and up-to-date, including all project close-out requirements.
Monitor and review cabling partner submissions of hours and work completed, change orders, etc. in support of GDCC FEs and PMs.
Monitor WSUP tool, tracking trends with GDCC RunOps partner and GDCC FE, identifying and escalating trends & issues as appropriate. Provide summary reports to the GDCC site team as needed.
Support development of best practices and initiatives, coordinating SOPs/SIPs with vendors as appropriate and identifying opportunities to develop and/or improve global and regional standards.
Ensure all process documentation needed by vendor partners and site team is up-to-date and available.
In coordination with the GDCC site team, assure crisp oversight and clear communications across an array of platforms with cross functional partners and vendors. Proactively communicate progress and project risks and initiatives to key stakeholders.
Maintain and track meeting minutes and actions as assigned.
Ensure GDCC cabling partner and site GC safety programs are documented, up-to-date and available to the entire site.
Monitor and communicate statistics around the tracking of safety incidents and with direction from site FEs, report out as appropriate.
Demonstrate an aptitude and interest for future career development through learning and growth into either or both GDCC field career paths of engineering or project management through work experiences, mentoring, and successful attainment of individual and team goals.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an Associate’s degree in Project Management or other technical field.
Experience building relationships to influence a diverse group of stakeholders to meet the overall mission of the organization.
Experience building cross-functional relationships and building internal community within the workplace.
Experience setting priorities in front of multiple requests and meeting competing demands.
Communication skills.
Experience exercising initiative, problem solving, and decision-making.
Experience understanding and applying guidelines, policies and procedures.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Experience in a mission critical environment requiring coordination across multi-disciplines for delivering a common goal.
Experience reviewing design documents and specifications.
Construction management experience.
Data center operations experience.
Experience with outside plant cabling (OSP).
Experience with inside plant cabling (ISP) and structure cabling systems.
Experience leading people or project teams.
Proficiency with office tool suites (MS Office, Google Docs, etc.).
