Site Selection Leasing Manager Responsibilities:
Serve as the ongoing owner for Meta’s executed data center lease agreements.
Evaluate, and develop key commercial terms in data center lease agreement templates, and lead efforts to revise contract language to reflect leading edge commercial terms.
Drive and coordinate contract amendments in response to changes in business need, improvements in business terms or processes, and/or feedback from Engineering teams in the field.
Negotiate letters of intent, lease agreements, service agreements, and other facility-specific agreements.
Partner with internal organizations including capacity planning, site selection managers, energy teams, data center design, construction, network engineering, legal, policy, communications, and finance, to align on key business terms.
Process contracts and agreements for internal approval and signature.
Develop ideas for improving portfolio management metrics and tracking mechanisms (portfolio long term view and long-term capacity needs).
Manage lease portfolio by partnering with lease accounting team and monthly reporting requirements.
Review monthly rent roll and supplemental rent roll to provide approval for payment.
Partner with IBOS (local warehouse site leads, regional managers, and process improvements team) and SP&A to address new and existing warehouse projects.
Ensure alignment with cross functional teams to identify and update warehouse facility requirements.
Manage the site selection efforts around identifying and recommending solutions for IBOS warehouse facilities.
Communicate monthly warehouse updates for both existing and pipeline sites to key internal stakeholders.
Primary contact for IBOS for all leased warehouse questions and issues.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (0 to 25% at times).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a business, paralegal studies, or technical discipline.
Experience in leased data center site selection, accounting, finance, logistics planning, contract management, and/or development of data centers or other large scale or mission critical capital programs.
Experience leading complex negotiations.
Seasoned professional that is experienced and astute at representing business interests to the senior leadership of potential suppliers, utilities, governments and other stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple projects and coordinate with internal staff, consultants, vendors and external stakeholders.
Analytical, creative thinking and communications skills with proven experience to effectively distill and communicate complex commercial, market and contractual details to all organizational levels.
Proven organizational skills.
Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced technical degree, law degree or MBA.
Background in contracts management and understanding of leases, experience with data center leases.
