Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled design leaders and teams, with a focus on the leadership’s ability to scale and deliver excellence in a sustainable way.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within product groups and across the Facebook company including product, engineering, design, marketing, finance, and partnerships.
Design the organization itself, with a focus on building capability and competency.
Build, develop, retain and motivate a diverse team while recruiting for new members and continually raising the bar for talent, capabilities and internal community.
Represent Facebook and provide thought leadership on an industry-level.
Understand how to effectively make cultural, process and product changes across different time horizons.
Clearly articulate a compelling point of view on the future of design practice, Facebook app and the societal challenges that Facebook seeks to address.
Role-model responsible product making practices – both by creating world-class responsible design practices, and partnering with other functions on their capability.
Experience building, leading and developing strategic design organizations including a proven track record in coaching and developing senior design leaders.
Proven collaboration and relationship-building skills including experience developing working relationships and driving cross-team collaboration.
Experience driving multi-year vision and portfolio-level design initiatives.
A portfolio of work that demonstrates experience across product-thinking, visual and interaction design.
Experience providing timely and impactful design direction when needed.
Experience working autonomously to influence decisions across and upwards within an organization.
Operational and analytical skills with experience developing strategic initiatives, negotiating complex trade-offs and driving execution.
