Apply your expertise in forecasting, quantitative analysis, data science, scenario modelling and data visualization to help Facebook optimize its workforce strategy
Model workforce scenarios with various constraints (headcount limitations, talent availability, facility capacity) to produce optimized plans for workforce growth
Design, build, and maintain data products that support forecasting, reporting, and scenario modeling of workforce data
Collaborate with data engineering and visualization engineers to access and manipulate data, explain data gathering requirements, and display results
Work closely with partners to understand business needs & challenges and deliver value through insights
Partner with various teams (Recruiting, Location Strategy, Finance, etc.) to ensure understanding, answer questions, and understand requirements
Communicate statistical analyses and results, along with implications, to technical and non-technical audiences
Leverage tools, such as R, Python, SQL, Tableau, Visier, Salesforce and Excel to drive analytics
Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues
BA/BS in a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (e.g., computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, or statistics), or equivalent work experience
Basic level project management skills
2+ years of experience with R or Python
3+ years experience with SQL (or equivalent)
3+ years of experience working with data visualization tools
Expert level Excel skills (conditional formulas and formatting, charting, etc.)
Experience processing and analyzing data sets, interpreting them for making business decisions
Experience manipulating large data sets through statistical software or other methods
Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
Experience communicating technical results to product and leadership teams to influence overall strategy
Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, operations research, economics, operations management, supply chain, computer science, finance), or equivalent experience
Experience with advanced statistics for optimization, simulation modeling, scenario modeling (e.g. markov, monte carlo, GLM)
Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics)
Experience with packages such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, tidyverse, ggplot2, dplyr
2+ years of experience working internally (as opposed to consulting) in an organization with 500+ professional employees (e.g., high-tech, financial services, healthcare, biotech, etc.)
Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and highly motivated to provide a positive user experience
Strong project management skills
