In this role, you will see a direct link between your work and our ability to accurately manage headcount and team data for Tech. The Mission Control team is a group of people at Meta responsible for workforce planning and headcount for the technical and product teams. We support an organization of more than 80,000 positions and growing. We are looking for a Workforce Planning Data Specialist to support our Planning Program Management team in their day-to-day workforce planning and headcount management activities.

Work closely with the Mission Control Planning Program Managers to support day-to-day activities, headcount planning cycles and large-scale organizational changes

Manage headcount issues and support inquiries from internal stakeholders

Assist Hiring Managers, Recruiting and Human Resources with headcount reporting and headcount management inquiries

Enforce and evolve headcount change management policies

Maintain data integrity of positions (cost center, manager, talent profile, location, team assignments, etc.) via approvals and audits

Exercise good judgment and, when unable to resolve issues, proactively raises risks and concerns to lead/manager

Document the end-to-end business processes currently used

Assist in streamlining and scaling the planning services processes

Participate in change management processes, like supply/demand planning and workforce reconciliation

Understand and collaborate across cross-functional organizations

Execute all regular transaction processes necessary to maintain operations records and databases

Respond to manager and employee requests related to position management

Update position attributes and assist in self-service transitions

Export or report on data in various in-house data tools (Org Tool, Workday, Headcount Planning Tool, etc.)

Audit data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality

Assist in onboarding new planning data specialists and contractors

Escalate data issues needing process re-engineering

Partner with other teams to maximize tooling, productivity, and planning processes

Some travel may be required (
B.S. or B.A. with 2+ years problem-solving/data experience, or equivalent of 3+ years problem-solving/data experience

Relationship building experience with cross functional partners at varying levels

Experience investigating incorrect data and process patterns, recognize trends and address root causes to implement long-term solutions

Experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Experience in headcount management, people operations, recruiting or HR

Knowledge of Workday and Salesforce

Project management background

Experience communicating complex ideas consistently and clearly

Experience with change management related to process and policy updates

Experience telling a story using data and extract key insights, helping stakeholders drive action
