The FRL Technology Engineering Team has the responsibility for taking breakthroughs in core technology and delivering them to market at scale, and our Camera Team seeks a Camera Perception Engineer who has extended experience of leading high-performance imaging perception tuning from concept to production volume ramp in consumer electronics.
Develop and tune image processing pipeline for camera system
Work with both external vendors and internal teams to develop image quality solutions for camera products
Apply subjective and objective image quality analysis to assist internal R&D projects
Manage and report image quality deliverables to cross-functional team
Research, design and develop tools, metrics and workflows to improve camera tuning process
Review and contribute to the overall camera system design
Bachelors degree in image processing, color science, electrical engineering, computer science or related fields/experience
3+ years experience in camera bring up and tuning
Experience with image processing techniques, ISP blocks and mainstream computational photography algorithms for mobile camera product
Experience in designing good testing methodologies and extracting data to answer complex questions
Experience developing simple automation/script/tools to assist camera development process
Ph.D. in image processing, color science, electrical engineering, computer science or related field
10+ years experience work mobile camera tuning and bring up
Experience with research of human perception and statistical analysis
Experience in imaging related with Augmented or Virtual Reality products
Program management Experience leading and driving project independently
