We are working on surfacing the best content and conversations happening on our platform, and are looking for talented curators to help us do this work. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of online culture and social media, deep knowledge of youth culture and trends, and excellent editorial judgment. We’re looking for people with a proven ability to identify breaking pop culture conversations – as they’re happening or ahead of the curve. Candidates should be comfortable working across different types of media, including articles, videos, groups, and user generated content. Deep expertise in one of the following categories is a must: Music, Movies/TV, Food & Drink, Travel, Fashion, or Gaming.Candidates should have the proven ability to work quickly under pressure, to make smart editorial decisions, and to work collaboratively with external partners and global colleagues. Flexibility, energy and above all a passion for discovering great content is required. This role may need to work occasional weekends, holidays, and unconventional hours.
Curate best-in-class content, including trends, credible current events info, entertainment and video content from a diverse set of publishers, broadcasters, public figures, and influencers
Identify and organize interesting content and breaking conversations by genre categories
Identify cultural trends across a diverse spectrum of topics
Collaborate with our product teams to improve user experience
Develop strategy and create plans for cultural moments and emerging trends
Have the ability to work an extended schedule as news and cultural events require, including occasional weekends, holidays, and unconventional hours
BA/BS degree or 4+ years of experience in editorial, curation, or social media work
2+ years’ of work experience, including experience in editorial (including curation or journalism) or social media work
Expertise in youth culture and Gen Z interests
Knowledge in technology and internet culture
Fluency in an additional language (particularly Spanish, Chinese, French, or Korean)
Experience working in tech
