The professional will prepare and negotiate commercial contracts for the technology category within Facebook. This position requires knowledge and experience with commercial contracts and contractual language. The professional must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines under minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working efficiently and effectively with both internal clients and external vendor attorneys/legal teams.
Prepare, redline, negotiate, and manage high volume of commercial contracts including master services agreements, Statements of Work, amendments, Master Subscription Agreements (SaaS), and related legal agreements
Lead contracts strategy and work cross functionally with Strategic Sourcing, Legal, and business teams to drive process improvement
Ensure business activities and contracts comply with internal policies and guidelines, and industry laws and regulation, including data privacy laws
Engage in frequent communications with both Facebook’s and vendor’s legal teams
Liaises with business partners to understand their projects goals, project description and all requirements are accurately reflected in each contract
Responsible for entering contracts into Facebook’s contract management tools
Liaises with departments such as finance and legal to ensure agreements are in compliance with legal and budgetary guidelines and policies
Ensure end-to-end successful completion of the assigned contracts
4+ years of contract drafting and negotiation experience
Experience prioritizing and managing agreements
Knowledge in business risk with legal/contractual issues
Analytical and interpersonal experience
Experience working with various tools including MS Office, Oracle, and contract management tools
JD or paralegal certificate
Experience managing contracts strategy
Software contracts experience
