Facebook’s Sustainability team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners. We seek an experienced Program Manager to lead sustainable design & construction coordination for a portfolio of data center projects in North America and support initiatives that reduce our greenhouse gas footprint and increase our positive impact in the communities where we build. The successful candidate will have strong experience with LEED and be familiar with a wide range of international green building standards. Travel required up to 25%.
Communicate sustainability requirements to design and construction teams and hold them accountable for exceptional outcomes.
Manage external consultants and assure sustainability objectives are accomplished.
Build tools and resources that help design and construction teams streamline implementation of our sustainability strategy.
Research and pilot new technologies that improve the sustainability performance of Facebook data centers.
Track industry standards and emerging trends to drive long-term strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, environmental studies, or a related field.
10+ years of work experience managing corporate sustainability programs with an emphasis on the built environment and supply chain management.
Technical experience with principles of circularity, zero waste, and embodied carbon.
Experience leading construction sustainability initiatives.
Experience delivering projects aligned with corporate goals through influence and collaboration.
Experience influencing across an organization with indirect authority.
LEED Accredited Professional, Building Design & Construction and/or Operations & Maintenance.
Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, environmental studies, or a related field strongly preferred.
3+ years experience managing people and leading teams in a matrixed organization.
